The early growth of Amass allowed us to graze within 7 and a half weeks of the autumn sowing. We achieved an average liveweight of 50kg/hd from the 112 first cross lambs grazing the 7.5ha of Amass over winter. Even in a variable season the Amass established quickly, grew well over winter, and maintained good ground cover. This meant we could then introduce 160 ewes and rams onto the paddock once the lambs left.
