Casey Willis

    RESEARCH AGRONOMIST

Based in Sale, Victoria, Casey is running research out of Gippsland Ag Research Farm, trialling and testing the very best pasture for Australian conditions.

“I really like the outside paddock research part of the whole process – sowing, following, harvest and then the satisfaction of saying “wow look at what we’ve done and what’s come out of the trial.””

Having grown up on a dairy farm in Gippsland, Casey understands the demands of the land and is committed to identifying and developing top quality pasture seed for farmers. In her own words “It makes a big difference using the right seed, otherwise you’re spending time and money on something that won’t do the right job. If you get it right, higher yield means productivity, more in the paddock and more on the animal in live weight, milk and wool.”

And ultimately, Casey says it all gets back to the farmer. “Higher yield means less stress, less worry and confidence that you’re getting the very best outcome. Valley Seeds is committed to helping farmers make this happen.”
