Amplify phalaris is a deep-rooted perennial capable of tolerating waterlogged and acidic soils.

A great all-rounder with high winter forage yields and some summer production under favourable conditions. Amplify has the ability to go summer dormant under adverse conditions for increased persistence. A long-term perennial pasture that gives you increased seedling vigour and lower toxicity. Amplify is a smart choice for growers who want a reliable and high yielding long-term pasture.

Acid Tolerant

Thrives in acidic, waterlogged, and hostile soil, turning pH problems into ‘pasture perfect’ solutions.

Deep Root Growth

Our roots go deep, in fact, 1.5 meters in acidic clay helping improve long term soil fertility and structure.

Heavy Grazing

Tolerates heavy grazing, and shows excellent re-growth potential. Providing a larger grazing opportunity.

PADDOCK PREPARATIONS, SOWING & MAINTAINENCE

Best sown into a shallow (5-15mm), seedbed but can be direct drilled.

Use a roller or harrows for good seed-soil contact and improved germination rates.

The use or herbicides prior to sowing can alleviate competition from weeds.

Phalaris is slow to establish and should be monitored throughout its early establishment phase for both weeds and insect pests.

Prepare by soil testing for fertility.

Ensure adequate N,P,K & S levels.

Maintain legume content to improve pasture yield & quality.

GRAZING MANAGEMENT

Phalaris is a slow to establish species and therefore should be allowed plenty of time to establish.

Only very light is recommended to encourage tillering.

Allow Phalaris to flower as this is when the dormant buds are forming for autumn growth & recovery for long term persistence.
