Camel – the ability to persist where most ryegrasses fail
- Bred and grown in Australia
- Selected from plants collected at St Arnaud, Victoria, where the average rainfall is 450mm, much lower than normally required for other perennial ryegrasses
- Camel has been tested in various locations throughout Australia. It has done well in yield trials and out-performed many other perennial varieties in persistence trials
- Mid heading date allows Camel to take advantage of spring rains
- Highly versatile Camel will provide winter and spring feed and is suitable to sow in a mix with cocksfoot or into existing phalaris stands
- Endophyte free pastures ensure calmer, staggers free livestock
- A suitable replacement for Victorian perennial ryegrass without the animal health issues
